A twelve year night netflix
The prison drama directed by Álvaro Brechner takes advantage of the empty spaces of the prisoners’ cells to perform an almost minimalist cinematographic exercise. In the film, the protagonism resides in the interpretative brilliance of its cast, boosted by the spaces that Brechner portrays and the contrasts in the planning.
The actors shine when the camera almost sticks to them in claustrophobic spaces, but even more so when they are a minimal and off-center point of open shots that present the spaces they inhabit.
It is the performances that provide us with an x-ray of the confrontation with dehumanization. Antonio de la Torre, an acting monster, is able to transfigure himself into a Mujica on the verge of madness, while Alfonso Tort is not far behind with a memorable scene as Huidobro in his first conversation with his daughter. Chino Darín is truly magnetic as Mauricio Rosencof.
As De la Torre acknowledged, Brechner was interested in the actors’ improvisation, putting acting talent ahead of technical exploration. This success helps to reinforce the rhythmic aspect of the film, which could have been lame due to the difficulty of keeping the viewer in suspense in a film where silence plays a key role.

To see this film, one of Martin Scorsese’s most acclaimed, you will need to have something as valuable as time, specifically 3 hours and a half. Nothing significant if you are unconditional of mafia movies.
The film is set on June 6, 1944 during the Normandy landings, known as D-Day, and narrates the event through the eyes of Captain John Miller who, together with his soldiers, has the mission of finding a missing soldier named Ryan.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is the original title of this must-see film to get to know this legendary comedy group. It is a parody of the legend of King Arthur and his knights as they embark on an adventure in search of the Holy Grail.
On the surface, Peter Weir’s film depicts the life of an ordinary man living in a place where nothing ever happens. However, this film is a profound critique of the world of show business on television. For, in reality, Trouman is a puppet immersed in a television contest in which he is being watched by millions of viewers from their homes.

The same who had previously created Tick, tick… boom!, the piece that today revives in Miranda’s debut film, which she presented in the early 90’s as a solo work, but after her death became a three-act musical.
After establishing herself in the world of acting in her native England and achieving the same in the rest of the world with her participation in films such as Iron Man 3 and The Dark House, Rebecca Hall takes an important professional step by directing her first film: Chiaroscuro.
The drama that brings to the screen the book of the same name by Nella Larsen, first published in 1929, which shows the story of two childhood friends who are black, but may seem white because they are mixed, and how they confront their racial identity.
A narrative conflict that led Hall to choose the adaptation of this book to make her directorial debut, since her paternal grandfather decided to present himself as white instead of assuming himself as Afro-American, an option baptized in English as “passing”.

The three missing Hollywood gods: Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot unite their cinematic superpowers in a film that has an action director, Rawson Marshall Thurber (The Skyscraper), a billionaire budget and a clear objective: to break viewing records. The film was originally from Universal and was destined for theaters, but the pandemic delayed the shooting and then the release forecast, Netflix got its spoon in the middle of the process and finished shooting it. The plot? Pure action and doses of Ryan Reynolds-stamped slapstick in a story about an FBI agent (Johnson) who is forced to work with one thief (Reynolds) to catch another (Gadot). The constant homage to Indiana Jones enhances the comedic side but also highlights its shortcomings: it’s a bomb artifact of entertainment but without the magic of the referent, with protagonists as charismatic as they are stiff. The true story of Red Alert’s Cleopatra’s eggsAll about Red Alert 2Netflix Movies 2021: Chiaroscuro (now available).
